In Kentucky, constables are elected from each magistrate district in the county. Constables have the same countywide jurisdiction as the County Sheriff. Constables are paid fees for services rendered. Individuals wanting to run in an election as a Constable must be at least 24 years of age, a resident of Kentucky for at least 2 years, and a resident of the county and district for at least a year prior to election.
