2017 Parks Kirksville ArticleLocated behind the Kirksville Community Center (formerly Kirksville School), Kirksville Park features a large picnic pavilion, playground, paved walking trail and restrooms.  Kirksville Park serves primarily the residents of Kirksville and western Madison County, and is home to Kirksville Days in late September.

 

2017 Parks Wilgreen ArticleWith idealistic views, characteristic of the Lake Cumberland region, Wilgreen Lake sits a few miles off I-75. Completed in 1966, the lake is designated ‘idle speed only’.  Fishing include largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, green sunfish, white crappie, channel catfish, white sucker, and common carp. Wilgreen Lake Marina is located close to I-75, off of Exit 87.  Turn west off I-75, drive 1.6 miles, and turn left onto Curtis Pike. Drive 1.8 miles and turn left on Wilgreen Lake Rd. It is about .5 miles to the lake from there.
