The Madison County Planning and Development Commission (et al) is composed of several entities (administrative official and staff, the development review team, the planning commission, and the board of adjustments), whose collective goal is to assure the well being of its citizens and ensure proper planning for the growth of Madison County.
The schedule for the approval of plats follows a 30 day cycle. The beginning of the cycle is the last Wednesday of each month with the Development Review Team meeting, the second phase is the Planning Commission work session on the first Tuesday of each month, and the third phase is the Planning Commission business session, and the third Tuesday of each month. Each will be discussed to explain its purpose and goal.
